World Of Warcraft Introduces Updated Introductory Area Exile’s Reach
Players can learn everything they need to know about your class before ever entering Azeroth.
With World of Warcraft’s Dragonflight expansion releasing later this month, Blizzard has decided to offer new (and returning players who may need a bit of a refresher) a way to become accustomed to their job of choice before they ever begin their adventure. The developer announced an updated introductory excursion called Exile’s Reach yesterday, explaining that it will provide players instruction on how to play their chosen class as they work their way through their first ten levels.
While on the island, they’ll learn the fundamentals of playing the game and explore the more important mechanics of their class. As the post notes, Warriors will learn how to properly use Charge, Rogues will be schooled on using combo points, and Hunters will learn everything they need to know about their pets. They’ll also encounter NPCs whose job is to specifically train them on important abilities.
At the end of their time in Exile’s Reach, players will be able to test their skills in a new mini-dungeon. There, one to five players will take on two new bosses before heading out into the wild world of Azeroth.
While this feature is intended for new players, veterans can use it if they want when creating a new character. It’s not required for veteran players, however.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
