World Of Warcraft’s Dragonflight Global Release Times And "Return" Campaign Underway
Before that, former players can take part in a free weekend.
Here we go! Get ready to take to the skies on leathery wings – or at least atop your new favorite dragon. On November 28, World of Warcraft players will venture to the Dragon Isles, as the Dragonflight expansion launches. For the first time in a good while, the ancient homelands of the dragons are accessible and waiting for the citizens of Azeroth to delve into their many mysteries.
If you’re wondering exactly when the update will release, Blizzard provided a handy map detailing launch times by specific cities. For those of us in the US, that time would be 6 pm Eastern, 3 pm Pacific. London, you’ll be launching at 11 pm GMT. The full map can be viewed on the WoW site.
In additional news, if you’re a former WoW player and have been thinking about coming back to see what the new expansion is all about, a free Welcome Back Weekend event is taking place. From now until November 20, former players can hop into the game for free. They’ll also be eligible to save 30% off of things like character transfers, race changes, and more.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
