World Of Warcraft’s Dragonflight Expansion Announces Official Release Date
Get ready to explore the original home of the dragons.
Okay, World of Warcraft players, you only have two months until you’re able to get your dragon on. Today, Blizzard announced that the game’s Dragonflight expansion would be landing on November 28, around 6:00 PM Eastern / 3:00 PM Pacific. (Those not in the Americas will need to look for it early in the morning on November 29.)
For those that may have forgotten – somehow – Dragonflight will take players to the original home of the Dragons where they will be able to explore four new zones. It also introduces the new Dracthyr Evoker, the game’s first race and class combination. And then there’s that whole Dragonriding thing, which will turn flight into a skill-based activity as you explore the Dragon Isles on your customizable drake.
Of course, the update isn’t just about dragons. (Although, let’s face it…that’s why we’re all here.) Dragonflight also introduces major updates to the game’s classes and professions, as well as the ability to customize the game’s UI. There will also be eight new dungeons added to the game. Four level-up dungeons for those working toward 70, and four max-level. Of course, there are raids. Season 1 goes live the week of December 12 with the Vault of the Incarnates raid. The new season also includes an updated rotation of Mythic+ dungeons and a new PvP season. Yes, for those who have been away, The Winds of Wisdom buff is now available to help players get ready for the new expansion.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
