World Makers Relaunches Social Deduction Game Deceit 2 As Free-To-Play
The game is also headed to consoles.
After taking in feedback from players, World Makers, the developer of the social deduction game Deceit 2, is "relaunching" it. Not only is the game back with a bunch of changes based on player input, but also a change in monetization. The game is now free-to-play.
The updated version of the game is now live and available to download for free on Steam. It’s also coming to both PlayStation and Xbox, but players will have to wait until April 3rd for that.
In addition to the monetization shift, the relaunch also includes the game’s first premium content expansion, the Werewolf Pack. This pack includes a new Terror, player role, item, and map. The new Terror is the first new addition since the game launched and is a werewolf. The new role is the Chemist. It’s a neutral Curse that poisons all other members of the group in order to win.
As for the map, players are now able to explore a facility used for inhumane experiments on animals where the new Terror Wyrtorn was created. The new map is available to all players for free.
