World of Dragon Nest Still On Track, As Eyedentity Job Postings Indicate
Free-to-play MMORPG Dragon Nest has been through several hands, including Nexon, Shanda Games, Cherry Credits, and its current developer/publisher Eyedentity Games. You'd be forgiven for forgetting that a sequel, World of Dragon Nest, was announced in 2017. We haven't heard much more on the title, which was scheduled for release last summer, but some news has come to light recently in the form of a pair of job openings at Eyedentity.
FreeMMOStation has picked up on a posting on the Eyedentity site for a "[World of DragonNest ] character modeler." According to Google Translate, the candidate should be able to "design a 3D character that fits Dragon Nest style" and "like MMORPG / Dragon Nest." Another posting calls for a "[World of DragonNest] Client Programmer."
So WoDN isn't dead yet, though it's definitely a bit past its due date. The original actually has a 4.43/5 rating on our game page and 74% positive rating on Steam, so its follow-up might be a bit more highly anticipated than it would appear at first glance.
