Wii U Exclusive Devil's Third Coming To PC As A F2P Multiplayer Title
There are plenty of good free-to-play games available on both consoles and PCs, but they're pretty much limited to the various Xbox and PlayStation machines. Nintendo's not quite ready to compete on that level, though it might be edging closer with a game called Devil's Third.
According to a statement from Devil's Third developer Valhalla Game Studios, the Wii U version of Devil's Third will be a standard console release, but Valhalla is also planning a free-to-play PC version of the game.
Devil's Third is "an over-the-top, third-person action shooter that combines modern military weaponry with ninja-style swordplay and melee combat." Devil's Third Online (tentative title) will start service in September in several territories but will lack the story mode of the Wii U version.
I'll admit to not knowing much about Devil's Third, but if the trailer is any indication, it looks... not half bad. If the PC release is successful, could this serve as an impetus to get quality F2P gaming on the Wii U?
