We're Getting 19 New Heroes In Hearthstone's New Twist Season "Whizbang’s Heroes" This Weekend
Each has a pre-made deck, a unique Hero Power, and a Passive effect.
Hearthstone’s upcoming Twist season, titled “Whizbang’s Heroes,” will introduce 19 new Heroes — each with a pre-made deck, a unique Hero Power, and a Passive effect.
The experimental mode in the card game is set to launch on June 1. Unlike traditional deck construction rules, these decks offer variety in size, card combinations, and duplicates. The goal, according to Blizzard, is to make each Hero feel like a new class.
Unlocking these Heroes is tied to specific Legendary cards in players' collections. If they possess the corresponding Legendary card, the Hero will be automatically unlocked at the start of the season. For those who don't have these cards, you can acquire them through packs or crafting. Also, some Heroes are automatically unlocked for all players due to specific cards being part of the Core set or rewarded through login bonuses from older expansions.
Additionally, to maintain Twist's dynamic nature, the developers plan to adjust Hero Health weekly based on meta developments. This proactive approach aims to address past issues where Twist seasons didn't align well with patch schedules. Following the June season, Whizbang’s Heroes will return in July with nine additional new Heroes. However, Twist won't be available indefinitely, as it's designed to be more of an extended event rather than a permanent fixture.
Future seasons of Hearthstone Twist will reintroduce popular themes like Wonders and the Caverns of Time, providing fans with opportunities to revisit past content and enjoy new experiences.
