XDefiant might be coming sooner than we thought.
Following the shooter’s recent server test, Executive Producer Mark Rubin has hinted at an imminent release date announcement for FPS. While no specific date has been revealed yet, he said it’s "coming very soon.” The recent server test was reportedly a success according to Rubin, and the development team at Ubisoft highlighted three key learnings from the test — indicating areas of improvement ahead of the game's launch.

Let me give the key takeaway(s) from this last post. The Server Test Session went really well from a scale and server standpoint. We have some tuning to do. Pretty straight forward stuff that will be done very soon if not done already. And lastly release date coming very soon!

During the test, several issues were identified and are now being addressed by the development team. One significant problem highlighted was Delta-1 errors, which contributed to latency issues such as players experiencing being shot around corners. Addressing these errors is expected to enhance the overall gameplay experience, though the degree of improvement remains to be seen. Also, delays in health bar updates and matchmaking processes were acknowledged and are being actively worked on to refine the game's mechanics and optimize player experience.
I mean, that’s what tests are for, right? Hopefully the developers learned what’s wrong and have fixes on the way, and there’s obviously a lot going for XDefiant, so let’s see how it turns out.
