Wayfinder Ratchets Up The Nightmare With New Difficulty Mode, More Save Slots, And Holiday Events
The Xbox version is still outstanding, though.
While the future of Wayfinder may still be a bit unknown, the team at Airship Syndicate keeps delivering on each and every promise they've made to their fans. While the Xbox launch may be coming a bit later than the team originally planned, the Echoes update making the game less MMO-like and the subsequent release of that update on PlayStation 5 have both initially served the game well.
Quality of Life Update 3 delivers more of the team's promises today with the launch of the Nightmare difficulty mode, more save slots, and quite a few improvements.
Those looking for new challenges can opt to create a save file on Nightmare difficulty. This setting cannot be changed once you start, though, so be careful. Not only is the game harder on this setting, but the mode also includes specific "one and done" Nightmare challenges and account-wide rewards.
To make room for you to take on Nightmare mode, the game now features 4 save slots for your profiles.
Eventide, the game's holiday event, is included in the patch and even offers rewards from last year. This content will remain accessible going forward.
The list of fixes and improvements is quite lengthy so make sure to read up on the official post.
