Wayfinder Is Making Some Big Changes To Your Inventory In The Name Of Server Strain
Get ready to sell those extra accessories.
Unlimited inventories in Wayfinder are going away as they are another cause of strain on the servers according to the devs. To help ease the transition to limited inventories, the devs have implemented a few changes that give you something to do with all that stuff in your inventory. This update comes in two phases.
In phase one player inventories will be limited to 100 accessories and 300 Echoes. Players can sell accessories to Venge to make some extra gold. Echoes can be broken down into Echo Dust and used to infuse other Echoes. An Echo worth 150xp will currently break down into 150 Echo Dust. There will be a large warning when you're getting close to running out of inventory space.
It's important to note that the first time you log into the game with this new system in place you will be given the chance to sell or dust the items in your inventory. You won't lose anything.
In Phase 2 of this inventory revamp, you will only be able to access your inventory and swap weapons and characters at a Signal Fire or Skylight. Phase 2 sounds a bit over-restrictive to me, but let us know what you think in the comments.
You can check out the new Wayfinder Wednesdays update on the official Steam page for the game. It'll be coming out bi-weekly and will hopefully keep us updated on the game going forward.
