Watch An Hour Of Squadron 42 Gameplay Revealed At CitizenCon, Launch Planned For 2026
That's a lot of "polish time" for a game that was "feature complete a year ago.
Yes, Squadron 42 is a single-player game, but its relation to Star Citizen makes it a bit of an exception when it comes to writing about it. After all, the same people are likely to play both games. That means fans of the space-based MMORPG should be excited to get a glimpse at Squadron 42 in action, which is what we have here.
In fact, Cloud Imperium Games showed off an hour of gameplay at CitizenCon 2954. The showcase features the beginning of the game and demos the visuals, combat, storytelling, and more. The game is currently in the polishing phase – which will apparently last another year even though the game is "feature complete" as of last year, as the developer plans to launch the game in 2026.
