Warzone 2.0 And Modern Warfare 2's Season 2 Delayed To Mid-February As New Content Gets Revealed
Season 2 was supposed to launch at the start of February, so it'll see a slight setback.
Infinity Ward has decided to delay the release of Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2's Season 2 launch to mid-February. Players expected it to go live at the start of February, judging from its battle pass countdown timer, but it will now arrive on February 15th.
It's a slight delay, which will give the developers time to "make several changes based on what [they] have heard from [their] player community." This announcement comes from Twitter via the official Call of Duty account but also revealed details on Season 2.

Season 2 will include fresh content, the return of Resurgence, and a brand-new "small map" for Warzone 2.0. Ranked play will also return to Modern Warfare 2 alongside new multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and more.
In a separate post, Infinity Ward stated: "We look forward to sharing more details on the updates coming to Season 02 in a deep-dive studio blog next week. This includes exciting changes to Warzone 2.0 including the gulag, looting and loadouts."
