Warhammer 40K: Warpforge's First Hands-On Demo Will Be Available For Players During Next Week's Steam Next Fest
It will introduce two major armies and reward players testing the demo with exclusive cosmetics.
Announced out of the annual "Skulls for the Skull Throne" Warhammer 40K event, the free-to-play card game Warpforge was a surprise for fans. Four months after its debut, developer Everguild will release its first hands-on alpha demo between October 3-10 during the Steam Next Fest.
The collectible digital card game will be available for all players willing to give it a shot. It will showcase its innovative battle mechanics with inspirations from The Horus Heresy: Legions, allow players to command the Ultramarines and Orks' Goff Clan armies, and reward contributors for testing with exclusive cosmetics when the game officially releases.
During the Next Fest, the devs will have a live stream to provide information about their development plans and roadmap ahead of the game's launch in 2023. Players can expect the devs will discuss armies coming with the base game, game modes, supported languages, and possibly the frequency of beta tests depending on reception to the alpha demo.
You can check out the Steam page ahead of the demo release if you're interested in trying it out.
