Warhammer 40K: Darktide Prepares To Roll Out MS Store/Steam Crossplay In Next Update
Players on Steam and the MS Store will be able to play together.
At the end of June - early July Warhammer 40K: Darktide will be rolling out update 1.1.10 which will bring crossplay between Steam and the Microsoft store. Players on Steam and the MS store will be able to add friends, matchmaking, and join players of the shooter from the other platforms. As of right now, players will not be able to move their progress from one platform to another, move their DLCs from one platform to another, or move their Aquilas from one platform to another. Players will also not have the ability to opt out of cross-platform play.
Along with cross-platform play comes balance chances to a few blessings, and a new condition called "Elite Resistance" which will spawn fewer but thougher enemies. Thronesode missions will also be affected by the Power Supply Interruption condition once the update goes live in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.
The devs also state that they are still hard at work on the Xbox release of Warhammer 40K: Darktide.
