Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Gets A Revamped Penance System In Today's Path Of Redemption Update
There's over 200 new penances to check out!
Today is the day… Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Path of Redemption update is out.
This free patch includes a revamped penance system, a new enemy, and the introduction of the Personality Scourge feature. There’s also a new reward system where penance points contribute to a progression track containing over 40 tiers — unlocking a variety of rewards.
The co-op shooter's update also relocates penances to a new in-game location called the Mourningstar, overseen by Hestia. She provides voice-overs during missions as well. Over 200 new penances are now categorized for players' completion, offering fresh challenges and content to explore. There’s more than 100 new earnable rewards, including insignias, portrait frames, emotes, poses, weapon trinkets, and cosmetics such as the Moebian 6th outfits.
It’s not all fun and games though, as players will encounter Dreg Tox Bomber and face a new condition called Pox Gas. The good thing though is that the Personality Scourge feature allows them to customize additional aspects of their operative, such as background, height, name, and voice (in exchange for ordo dockets).
