Wargaming Honors Veterans With Events In World Of Tanks And World Of Warships
Wargaming has been upping its charity game lately, and today -- Veteran's Day in the U.S. and Remembrance Day in the U.K. and the Commonwealth -- the developer has something special in mind to honor and support members of the armed forces of multiple nations, while also providing in-game events and prizes for all players.
The Remembrance Charity Drive is underway in World of Warships EU. Four bundles are up for sale, with 100% of the proceeds going toward the Help for Heroes charity, which supports veterans and members of the UK Armed Forces. In North America, you can participate in a special Veteran's Day series of missions, culminating in an Air Force patch. Wargaming also raised $4,936 for the Wounded Warrior Project during Monday's Virtual Fleet livestream.
In World of Tanks EU, you can pick up some special rewards through Nov. 14, and there's a bonus code you can redeem to unlock a special mission that will grant you 200 Tank Reward Points upon completion. On the U.S. side of things, members of the Salute Program get a free tank and bonus missions to earn the Eagle 7.
For sake of completeness, let's also check in on World of Warplanes. That game doesn't have any special Veteran's/Remembrance Day celebration going on, but it does have a seventh birthday celebration ongoing, with new missions and discounts.
