Warframe's All New "Mech Only" Event Launches Today, Lavos Joins The Line-Up
Beginning today, Warframe players will be able to take part in the first in-game event that doesn't make use of... well... Warframes. Instead, players will obtain a free mech in the game's first all-mech event, Operation: Orphix Venom.
If you're wondering why you're going in sans-Warframe, the answer is simple. Sentient forces have put all of them out of commission. Their powers can't be used. But, thanks to the Entrati Father, mechs are up for grabs. So, even if you didn't already own one, you'll be able to participate in the event.
If you're curious as to what exactly you'll be fighting with these mechs, it's three all new Sentient enemies. These include a lightweight Sentient with long-range cannon ammo, the Ortholyst; an etherial Sentient with sound-based abilities, the appropriately-named Choralyst; and a high-order Sentient with twin cannons, the Summulyst.
As stated, the event kicked off today, and will run through Monday, January 18. So you have a whole month to get your big robot fighting on.
In addition to the new event, today also marks the release of the new 'Lavos' Warframe. Both the event and the Warframe were covered in yesterday's dev stream. If you missed that, you can find it here.
