Warframe Hits Near Double Peak Concurrent Players On Steam Following Eidolon Launch
Warframe's open world PvE-centric update Plains of Eidolon seems to be attracting a lot of players. The company announced today that since the update's launch, the game hit an all-time peak of 121,377 concurrent players on Steam. This is nearly double the previous record from earlier in the year and is the second highest number for free-to-play games currently available via Steam.
The announcement also notes that since the launch the game's players have racked up over 40 million hours of playtime, causing it to hit top-five status on SteamCharts.
Plains of Eidolon released on PC on October 12 and will launch on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later in the year. Information on the expansion can be found on the game's official site.
