Warframe: 1999’s Story Begins With A Prologue In The Lotus Eaters Update This Month
The update will also introduce access to Sevagoth Prime.
We’re still a bit out from the arrival of the much anticipated Warframe: 1999 story update, but Digital Extremes is ready to get things rolling with The Lotus Eaters. This update, dropping on August 21, includes a prologue quest for the 1999 update.
What, exactly, will happen in The Lotus Eaters? Well, no one wants to spoil the story, but we do know that it picks up after the events of Whispers in the Walls and that “The Man in the Wall does not idly sit by”. Players will be called to investigate strange sounds in the Sanctum Anatomica of Deimos and will find their way to Albrech Entrati… somehow.
In addition to the story content, the Lotus Eaters update also grants players of the shooter Sevagoth Prime Access. Sevagoth was once banished to the Void but has been resurrected. Considering his abilities require the reaping of the souls of the dead, one can see why he might have been banished. However, those abilities allow him to destroy larger fiends. Perhaps a few souls aren’t the worst tradeoff.
