War Robots: Frontiers Releases F2P Mech-Combat Mayhem On PC And Consoles

It seems like 2025 is shaping up to be a pretty decent year for fans of mech shooters. With Wargaming bringing out Steel Hunters and Amazing Seasun Games set to launch Mecha BREAK soon, you'll have plenty of options in a genre that hasn't had many options lately. Before either of those make it to full release, though, MY.GAMES is jumping out there today with the release of their own War Robots: Frontiers.

The F2P mech-combat title releases today on PC and consoles, specifically the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. War Robots: Frontiers is built on Unreal Engine 5 and does offer full cross play between PC and console.

In today's release, 18 different mechs, 4 maps, and 3 different game modes are available. Team Deathmatch and Last Robot Standing are exactly what you would expect, and Warp Rush mode is your typical control point affair. Yes, ranked play is available, too.

Obviously a huge part of most mech shooters is the customization of your own mech. War Robots: Frontiers certainly has plenty of customization (shown off in the Season 1 trailer below, too), but for those that aren't all that keen to get into the nitty-gritty, you could just opt to jump into a pre-built mech and skip the customization systems if you feel it's a bit overwhelming.
