Want To Check Out Fractured Online Without The Box Fee? Nine Free Days Coming Right Up
The trial comes as part of the MMO's first major update.
If you've been on the fence about paying the box fee for Fractured Online, a "free week" is coming up later this week for the MMORPG. Don't tell the Dynamight Studios team, but they seem to think there's 9 days in a week, so you'll be the beneficiary of a few extra days.
The free week starts on August 16th and comes as part of the MMO's first "major" content update since officially launching a few weeks ago. You're free to play the trial on Steam or on the official launcher. Either way, if you decide to buy the game afterwards you can continue your trial progress on either platform as long as you link your Steam and Fractured accounts.
The update will include 11 new summons including Dragonlings, Elementals, an Arctic Wolf, Direwolf, Skeletal Mages, and Skeletal Warriors. A new "Adventure Task" system will also debut bringing basically the equivalent of daily quests to Fractured. You don't actually have to do them each and every day though as the quests accumulate over time. Of course, these quests come in multiple difficulties, rewards, and you can reroll them if you just don't like them.
Finally, the update will add an emote wheel and balance changes. Here's the wheel in action.
