Voyager’s Captain Janeway Makes Her Way To Star Trek Online
In fine STO tradition, Janeway will be voiced by her actor from the series, Kate Mulgrew.
It’s been a long time coming, but Janeway is finally joining the ranks of other popular characters from the Star Trek series in continuing to bring the Star Trek Online universe to life. The character, who will be voiced by Kate Mulgrew, makes her way into the game today as part of the Shadow’s Advance 12th anniversary season. Not only will she appear as the Prime version we associate with the Federation, but also as the Mirror Universe version of the character. As you may expect, this means a bit of crossover with existing Mirror Universe characters in the game. This means Janeway is going to be spending some time with Captain Killy and Admiral Leeta. The new season follows the story of the Mirror Universe characters from the perspective of the Prime Universe’s Janeway.
Speaking of Mirror Universe characters, prepare yourselves. For the first time ever, players will run into the Mirror version of their own characters in the featured episode “Red Shift”. In this episode, players will be part of the Terran forces led by Marshal Janeway on a mission to kidnap someone from Federation Space.
In addition to the new story content and episode. This update also introduces a new five-captain TFO as well as the annual Anniversary Event (previously covered here.)
