Vigor Chronicles: Perseverance Tells The Story Of 16-Year-Old Survivor Freyja
Viking-themed battle pass offers horned helmets and a shotgun.
Bohemia Interactive's Vigor has gone live with its latest story-based chapter, Vigor Chronicles: Perseverance. Like the first Chronicles chapter, Vengeance, Perseverance gives players a deeper look at one of the game's characters, Freyja, a 16-year-old girl whose life is a "story of hardships, heritage, and hope." Details of her struggle can be found in the world on a series of 10 cassette tapes -- the game does take place in the '90s, after all -- which can now be found as loot in POIs.
Kjerstien, introduced as a shootout map in the previous update, is now a full-fledged encounter map. Its signature feature is a giant dam that houses tunnels players can crawl through for some claustrophobic encounters, as well as being the perfect place to set traps, like the new monkey-cymbal-toy improvised mine.
As you might guess from Freyja's name, and the trailer below, the new content brings with it a Viking theme, with suitable cosmetics to be unlocked via the battle pass. Fur-lined vests and horned helmets aren't all you can earn via the pass -- the legendary Remy M870 Special Issue shotgun is also up for grabs. Imagine if the Vikings had some of those to bring on their raids.
Learn more about Perseverance and its accompanying premium pack, as well as all the bug fixes and changes going live today, on the Vigor site.
