Venture Into The Endless Archive In The Elder Scrolls Online's Update Today (PC)
Update 40 is here.
Update 40 is live in The Elder Scrolls Online, and with it comes a much-desired feature called the Endless Archive. Complete two stages of enemies, then take on a boss to defeat a cycle. Cycles get more difficult as you progress through the MMORPG's Endless Archive, but you'll be receiving perks and buffs to help you along the way. Once you've completed five cycles you'll confront the final boss to complete a single arc of the Endless Archive. Then it's time to run it again as it continues to increase in difficulty. Fall too many times and your run is over.
There are leaderboards to climb and rewards to earn along the way. There's a mount, a pet, cosmetics, and more to earn during your runs in The Elder Scrolls Online's Endless Archive. It is also the only place you can acquire the all-new Class Set Items. You can earn these as item drops or trade in the special currency you'll be earning for Class Set items at the vendor. You can enter the Endless Archive in The Elder Scrolls Online either solo or with a partner. This game mode is free for everyone who owns ESO, no special chapter of DLC is required.
While Update 40 is mostly about the Endless Archive, there are a few other things of note in the update. There's a new group finder that allows players to create parties for any of ESO's in-game activities, with the ability to customize criteria like CP level, the usage of in-game voice chat, playstyle, and group role composition. There are also Grand Master crafting stations that allow players to merge all of their home's attuned crafting stations for a crafting skill line into one furnishing.
