Valve Announces Entirely Community Created TF2 Update: Robotic Boogaloo
Valve's long running F2P shooter Team Fortress 2 received yet another update today. What makes this one different is that the material, in this case 57 new cosmetic items, was completely created by the Valve community. This is the first ever community designed update, which leaves fans wondering, is it the only one? If Valve's track record proves anything, if something works they're bound to do it again (just not three times). Whatever the case may be, we can be sure players will be eagerly awaiting for more. For now they will have to content themselves with mechanical hot dog hats.
The new items are only available from RoboCrates, which will become in-game rare drops starting June 3rd, and can be opened with the RoboCrate key. The keys are tradeable and can be purchased for $2.49 each, with the content creators sharing in the revenue of the Crates.
