Valorant's Episode 4 Adds New Electric-powered Agent, Neon
Along with the usual slate of battlepass rewards and patch notes.
Valorant kicks off a new episode today, as Episode 4, Act I hits live servers for Riot's tactical shooter. The highlight is new electrified agent Neon, who's a "one-person race to dish out a bioelectric smackdown," because electric-powered champions seem to be all the rage with Riot these days. Neon can channel her power for extra speed or zap enemies with bolts with a "radiante-infused bioelectric charge" that she builds up like static electricity. Just don't ask her to remove clothes from the dryer.
There's a new battlepass, of course, which includes freebies like the Velocity Shorty with variants, the Valentine's Tactics Player Card, and Chicken Out Gun Buddy. The paid pass adds the Hydrodip Frenzy, Big Brain Gun Buddy, and Velocity Karambit with variants.
Over in the patch notes, you can find changes to melee, with its larger hit boxes, as well as all the usual tweaks to guns and maps. You'll now need to reach rank 20 before taking on competitive mode now, unless you've done so already at a lower rank, and under "Known, But Beloved Issues" is the "Widejoy" banner, which sometimes stretches Killjoy's image across the screen. It's apparently "beloved" enough that it won't be dealt with until 4.01. Until then, nobody should suggest that she looks like she's put on a few pounds.
