Valheim Drops Hearth & Home Update
The update adds new mechanics, materials, optimizations, and more.
Warning: The patch notes for this update indicate some of this stuff is spoiler-y. I'm not sure which parts that might be, but don't say you weren't warned.
Valheim’s first major update has arrived adding all kinds of new content focused on the cooking and building portions of the game – which makes complete sense when you realize the update is named Hearth & Home. This means that players can expect new build pieces and furniture, as well as food.
The update doesn’t only focus on the domestic content, however. It also adds several features specifically requested by players. These include being able to share map data, finding seeds to plant trees with, and being able to destroy unwanted items. (Everyone loves inventory solutions.) Players can also now name pets and tamed Lox have a use.
If you made it this far and didn’t skip over the post because of the spoiler warning, you’re probably the person the patch notes were intended for. They can be found on the Valheim Steam page.
