Love Is In The Air As Valentione’s Day Returns To Final Fantasy XIV
There are some adorable outfits to be had.
February is almost upon us, and that means that it’s time for Gridania to shift its focus to the topic of love. More importantly, it’s time for Final Fantasy XIV players to run some cute quests, maybe get a lore dump, and definitely get some loot out of it.
This year, players will get a new outfit (determined by the gender of their character at the time they receive it), a heart-shaped desk, and a new emote. You can now add chocolate to the list of things you can eat. The event page doesn’t specify how the desk and emote are acquired, but if it’s anything like other recent events, the desk might be purchasable with gil. Speaking of which, items from previous Valentione’s Day events can be obtained from the House Valentione maid.
On a less festive, but important note, Square Enix announced today that they’ll be changing the payment processor used for making purchases through the Mog Station and Online Store. This change will take place in late February and is not expected to impact players too heavily. If you already have recurring payments set up, they’ll continue as they have until you need to update your plan or your card information.
That said, some payment methods will no longer be valid. These include JCB, Carte Bleue, and SEPA (Sofort). Acceptable payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Amazon Pay, and Paysafecard. Full details on the transition can be found on the XIV site.
