Update Those Addons Now: Warcraft's Dragonflight Takes Wing Today
The MMORPG's 9th expansion tries to right some of the wrongs of the game's past.
Time until launch is now measured in hours as World of Warcraft's preps to launch Dragonflight, the MMORPG's 9th expansion, tonight... well "tonight" in our east coast US time zone.
Blizzard Entertainment is busy getting all their dragons in a row for today's global launch. If you missed our previous reporting, you can check out what time Dragonflight launches in your time zone in our recent reporting.
While you have some time, you could also check out the "survival guide" Blizzard posted to get you ready to take to the skies.
With the addition of the Evoker class, the Dracthyr race, a return to a more classic talent tree, new dungeons, raids, quests, and more, Blizzard Entertainment is hoping that Dragonflight restores a bit of confidence in the MMORPG and shows a more "return to classic form" to players.
Given some of the woes with the last few expansions, Warcraft could certainly use a boost in the morale department, so today starts the path, let's see where it goes!
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
