There's quality of life improvements and easier progression being introduced, as well as major changes for the new and returning player experience.
Summer is officially here, both in real life and Arkesia.
Smilegate revealed upcoming changes and plans for Lost Ark, starting with the July update. It will focus on quality of life improvements and easier progression. Changes include extending basic honing growth boost, increasing success rates for honing, reducing requirements and costs for gear leveling, and adding a legendary wandering merchant for collecting stepping stone cards. The Maharaka Festival will also return in July with new activities and progression rewards.
As for August, major changes will be implemented in the MMORPG to improve the new and returning player experience. This includes consolidating Tier 1 and Tier 2, making progression easier, and introducing various quality of life updates. The Akkan Legion Raid will be added, and new and returning players will have faster access to older Legion Raid materials. Progression events, such as Powerpass and Hyper Express Event, will be active to provide gear, skills, and better rewards. Also, the engraving system will be updated, Tower stages will be adjusted, and tier 3 progression will see updates to gear consolidation, crafting ingredients, and enhanced rewards in earlier raids.
Besides all that, quality of life improvements will continue with increased battle item support in Guardian Raids, separation of ship skin cosmetics and effects, elimination of waiting times for event islands, and reduced sailing quests. Maharaka Festival Part 2 will bring more activities and rewards.
Finally, as a gift to players, a special Summer 2023 player gift will be provided, including various chests for animal skins, mounts, and legendary cards, as well as coins, battle items, amulets, and more.
