Unreal Editor for Fortnite Is Finally Here, And It Totally Changes The Game
Check out Epic Games' presentation, then try out the public beta for yourself now.
There’s been a lot of hubbub regarding the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Well, Epic Games finally showed it off.
At the State of Unreal 2023 presentation, the company showed off the new PC application that will take Fornite Creative to the next level. UEFN brings advanced tools that will allow players to import custom assets which could allow them to make Fortnite not even look like Fortnite anymore. Epic Games showed an example of such, displaying a world that viewers would not even believe was Fortnite if they weren’t aware already.
The good news is that fans can get their hands on this right now because the public beta, along with the Creative 2.0 patch, just went live following the presentation. It features a new scripting language called “Verse.”
Fortnite’s Creative mode launched back in 2018 and allows creators to actually make some decent money for injecting more experiences into the game. A recent leak even showed that Epic Games could be boosting that revenue, allowing creators to get paid based on the number of engagements their islands receive.
