Skull and Bones Ubisoft Forward 2023

Ubisoft Forward 2023 is in the books and there were quite a few multiplayer games covered during the event. Given the amount of delays and other issues Ubisoft has been having lately, they could really use a win, so let's take a look at what they presented.

Skull and Bones is a game we've been following here at MMOBomb for quite some time, and quite frankly it has failed to impress so far. Today may have been the best thing Skull and Bones have produced so far, and it wasn't even gameplay. It was the band Home Free who took the stage and sang a chilling sea shanty about the game. On the gameplay side of things, an open beta is incoming for Skull and Bones and will be running from August 25-28 (as long as there are no more delays of course).

XDefiant was featured pretty early on in the presentation. There will be 14 maps at launch with 5 factions, 24 weapons, and 5 different game modes. The road map is quite ambitious with year 1 adding 4 new factions, 12 new maps, and new weapons along the way.

Brawlhalla is getting a crossover event featuring Master Chief and The Arbiter. They arrive in the game on July 12th.

Speaking of crossovers, Roller Champions (yes, it is still kicking) is getting a Jet Set Radio crossover that I'm sure fans have been asking for. Ride in the new Tokyo-To skatepark with characters Gum and Beat. It's all coming on June 27.

It's time to shred the skatepark in Riders Republic as well. Today they announced that Skating is coming to the game. It's all part of Season 8 which is coming on September 26. There will be new tricks and challenges, exclusive customization, and a new area to show off your mad skills in.

Of course, there were all of the usual 42 versions of Assassin's Creed and whatnot along the way as well, but we cover the multiplayer stuff here at MMOBomb, so that'll wrap it up for our Ubisoft Forward 2023 recap. What was your favorite reveal from the event?
