Ubisoft Announces Yet Another Blockchain Game After Canceling The Last One
Here we go again.
Some developers never learn. Ubisoft is once again announcing a blockchain game after shelving its first attempt more than a year ago. They call it "a brand new PvP Tactical RPG experiment game" on the official site. You can call it other things if you wish. Oh, it's called Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles if you still care.
According to the website the game is coming "soon", and Ubisoft is partnering with Oasys blockchain for this little endeavor. The site also states that there will "be a free drop at launch", but I'm not sure if that means F2P, or free gifts, or what.
Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot warned us the company wasn't done with blockchain when the NFTs in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint went over like a lead balloon, and now here we are, staring at yet another attempt at this BS.
There's a trailer below which oddly features tabletop miniatures at the end after some artwork is shown off, so who knows what this game is going to be like. NFT and Blockchain are all I need to hear.
