Tunisian Studio Nuked Cockroach Announces Top-Down Shooter Veterans Online
Northern Africa has often been a setting for war games, but it's not every day you see a war game come from the region. That's the case today, with the announcement of Veterans Online, an upcoming free-to-play, top-down shooter from Tunisia's Nuked Cockroach. While it looks cute and casual, Nuked Cockroach called it a "fast-paced experience that relies heavily on tactical skill and reaction speed" and esports plans are in the works.
Veterans Online will offer 5v5 PvP matches in a variety of modes and maps. There's plenty of customization to be had, with players purchasing weapons and utility items with coins at the start of each round, as well as -- judging by the trailer below -- a pretty solid suite of options for choosing how your character looks.
There's no time frame yet for when Veterans Online will be offered to the public, but when it does come, the game will include two modes, Territory Control and Capture the Flag, and a wide selection of weapons and other gear, with more to come throughout early access. Learn more about the game via its Steam page or official website.
