Trailer Released For Bloodline Champion's Spiritual Successor, Battlerite
Developer, Stunlock Studios released the first gampeplay trailer for its upcoming free-to-play team arena brawler, Battlerite this week. Billed as a spiritual successor to Bloodline Champions, Battlerite is designed to be the 'Ultimate Spectator Sport.' It is a combination top-down shooter/fighting game played in 2v2 or 3v3 matches.
Matches take place in 10-15 minute periods during which player can select rites to unlock powers and customize playstyles.
In keeping with the eSports-oriented goals the game is being developed using a special VR filming technique. This technique is being used specifically for recording gameplay footages and may be used to implement a VR ption for spectator viewing in the future.
For those interested in checking Battleright out, the game will enter Early Access on September 20.
