Today's Legacy: Steel & Sorcery Update Balances Things A Bit Ahead Of Summer's New Dungeon And Wizard Class
Over 2000 Steam reviews so far put the game at a "Mixed" rating.
It's been one month since a team of veteran MMO developers at Notorious Studios pushed their extraction game Legacy: Steel & Sorcery into early access. Since then, the title has garnered over 2,000 Steam reviews with the overall feeling being "Mixed." Many of the "negative" reviews point to balance issues, a minimum of classes being available, and technical issues as the lead culprits for some negative impressions.
A new patch today aims to start addressing some of those issues and pave the way to expand some options later this summer. Balance is the focus of "Early Access Update #2" with all four of the game's currently available classes receiving changes to ability cooldown timers, fixes for bugs impacting resource usage and generation, and a few other balance changes. The team does acknowledge that more work needs to be done on things like Priest pieces and they will continue to work on that.
Summer will see Legacy add the game's 5th class in the Wizard. The class will feature spell-slinging unlike all other currently available classes. The update will also add a new dungeon that may be smaller than others, but it should provide a bit more action and will include higher quality loot. A Goblin Pawn Shop will also allow you to purchase back gear you may have lost in your travels. More progression systems and social tools will also be included.
