Titan Forge Games Responds To Subreddit Aimed At Harassing Women In The Smite Community
The team will be removing any Smite accounts of players found to be involved.
Because folks just can’t seem to not be jerks, Titan Forge Games – the developer of Smite – announced today that they are aware of a “concerning subreddit targeting women” in the game’s community. The developer was made aware of the issue by players and has been working with the Smite community to report all of the posts in question on Reddit.
As they work to do this, the Titan Forge team has also promised they’ll continue to monitor the situation internally and look for any relation between the Reddit and Twitter accounts posting the content in question and existing Smite accounts. If any are found to be related, they will be removed permanently. The devs also ask that if anyone has any information they can use, to please contact their community team.
