Time To Kill Hordes Of Bugs In Crossout's "Steel Troopers" Event And Future Events Feature Feathered Friends
This has to be a nod to Starship Troopers, right?
Steel Troopers is live in Crossout starting today and the vehicle combat game has multiple events planned over the next month. There's quite a bit to breakdown, so let's hit it all.
First, Halloween has arrived in Crossout in the form of Special Brawls dropping "Tricky Treats" as a resource. Farm them up then head to the Shaman's Cauldron to use these treats to snag cosmetic items and vehicle upgrades at discounted costs. Don't stockpile the treats, though, as when the event ends, any unused treats just go away. Make sure you spend them by November 6th.
Next up is today's "Steel Troopers" update. In what I think HAS to be an homage to Starship Troopers, Steel Troopers is a PvE brawl that tasks teams with surviving wave after wave of mechanical spiders while completing other objectives. You'll be playing this mode with special battlewalkers that you can choose from before the match starts. If you happen to be downed in battle, teammates can revive you. There's various challenges and rewards specific to the day of the event to gain. Hit up the full details to see when you'll want to play. This event only lasts a week and will end on October 30th.
Finally, we have a preview of some upcoming events, including one that puts players in bird-theme vehicles. "Red Light" mode is coming back and you'll need to make it to the extraction point, "Big Races" challenges players to a two lap race, and "Feathered Mayhem" is a PvP brawl with all players taking control of pigeon tanks.
Each mode lasts for one week before moving into the following event. All events are showcased in the trailer below so you can get a sneak peek at each right now.
