Time To Get Foamy: 4v4 Shooter Foamstars Launches, Currently Free For PS Plus Subscribers
You need to claim it before Match 4th or you'll have to buy it like everyone else.
Foamstars is now available as an exclusive on the PS5 and PS4, and with it comes the kickoff of Season 1 titled "Starry Pop". Foamstars is a February PlayStation Plus monthly game, meaning subscribers can redeem, download, and play the game at no extra cost between now and March 4th.
All players who redeem the foam shooting game between now and March 4th will keep the game in their PlayStation Plus library and be able to continue playing as long as they maintain their PlayStation Plus subscription.
Season 1 of Foamstars features ranked play with the solo player Ranked Party Lonestar and the team-based Ranked Party Tribe-Vibe. Two special themed modes are also available to play with the "All Mel T Party" where every player battles as Mel T, and the "Invisible Party" where everyone is, you guessed it, invisible. The premium season pass will cost you $5.99.
A weekend-only party will give players the opportunity to try out next season's new Foamstar, Coiff Guy. Foamstars will receive free themed seasonal updates throughout the year, with each season lasting about five weeks. Each new Season will bring a new character, a selection of maps, events, and cosmetics.
There will, of course, be a Season Pass coming along with each Foamstars Season as well. Beginning March 5th Foamstars will be available to purchase for $29.99 via the PlayStation store and will require a PlayStation Plus subscription to play.
