Time For Some Extra Bizarro Samples In The DCUO Brainiac Returns Spotlight Event
The event starts today, but only runs until the 30th.
DC Universe Online has been running its actual holiday event in the MMORPG for a few weeks now and that'll end on December 30th if you haven't gathered all of your free rewards yet. However, starting today, and also ending on December 30th, is the Brainiac Returns Spotlight Event.
There isn't a lot of "extra lifting" you have to do here to net the loot. In fact, just do what you were likely already going to do when you logged in today. Any instanced or mission-based content you complete during the Spotlight event will net you double the Bizarro Sample rewards you would normally acquire.
These samples are what you would normally use to purchase the current episode's gear, but you do have to be eligible to play in the episode to earn the bonuses. That isn't a "pay wall" or anything as the episode is free, but you do have to have unlocked the content.

No, this doesn't mark an "official" launch.

Plenty of rewards and a new adventure await.

Is it just because I can't pay attention or is it maybe just because the content is disposable to me?

In the era of multiple monetization methods, I just wonder how much a "season pass" does for most games.
