Tilted Towers Returns To Fortnite In Version 19.10, And So Does The Grenade Launcher
There’s also a lot going on in Creative.
Today’s a busy day for Fortnite announcements what with the v19.10 update dropping and adding new content to both Battle Royale and Creative. First off, we have not only the return of the Tilted Towers to Fortnite Battle Royale, we also have the introduction of big berry-loving lizards (?)… dragons(?)… Anyway, they’re big, brightly colored, and have scales. They’re also named Klombos and are friendly enough that players can climb up their backs and use the blowhole on top of their heads to launch into the air. Might be a good idea to feed them those berries I mentioned, though.
As mentioned in the title, Tilted Towers is back and players are tasked with building to the top of the clock tower, breaking into apartments, fighting in the underground garage, and more. Just go ham. You know what to do. Also back is the Grenade Launcher. It’s received a few tweaks to make it more responsive and accurate. Projectiles also now explode after their first bounce, which should also help with accuracy a bit.
On the creative side of things, players are getting a new prop manipulator device that allows them to fiddle with the visibility and collision of props. Players can also now override their health values. It can be attached to a single prop or a collection of props and will also alert players when the props in question are damaged or destroyed. The update also adds a creature manager, a real-time clock, a pop-up dialog device, and more.
Creative is also getting a new event, the “KAWS New Fiction” art exhibit inspired by the Serpentine North Gallery in London. This recreation was made by the BeyondCreative creator team along with Alliance Studios. It’s filled with a virtual exhibit featuring art developed by world-renowned artist KAWS using Acute Art. The exhibit is available today and will run until January 25.
