This Week In Destiny — The Bungie Day Giving Festival, Crucible Changes, And Solstice Event
Last call for emblem competition submissions, plus mid-season patch updates and new armor customization.
What’s in store for you Guardians this week?
For starters, the Bungie Day Giving Festival is in its second week, and so the last call has been made for emblem submissions for the emblem competition. Participants have until July 13 to submit their entries. The festival also includes daily prizes, with each day offering a different item. Donations of at least $1 USD will give participants a chance to win the daily prize, and each entry also counts towards the grand prize drawing.
Next we have the shooter's Crucible, which is receiving some updates in the mid-season patch. Changes include fixing out-of-bounds spots in various maps and reducing the damage reduction in PvP for the Whisper of Chains ability. The development team also discussed adjustments to respawn logic in objective-based modes and improvements to matchmaking in Competitive Division matches. They are also working on implementing Dynamic Skill Ranges to equalize matchmaking pools during low population times.
Also, there’s the upcoming Solstice event. This has players team up to earn rewards and gather Silver Leaves. The event offers armor upgrades and introduces two new buffs called Firebound and Flare. Upgrading Solstice armor requires Silver Leaves, Silver Ash, and Kindling, which can be earned through various activities and challenges. The event provides an opportunity for players to customize their armor to suit their desired playstyle.
Finally, the winners of the Bungie Day fishing tournament are announced, with “Arladouc” achieving the top score overall at 660 points.
Head over to the official website post for more details on the information mentioned above, plus the latest player support report, art of the week, movie of the week winners, and more for Destiny 2 players.
