Things Are About To Get Unpredictable In Smite 2 With The Launch Of Open Beta 6
And the devs have temporarily disabled Combat Blink, just for a little test.
Open Beta 6 drops in Smite 2 on Monday, bringing the newly ported god Merlin to the MOBA. Of course, a new god isn’t all players can look forward to in the update. According to the current patch notes, the new Aspect of Pandemonium is being introduced on March 28, adding a bit of unpredictability to the game. This new feature reduces the cooldown of Merlin’s Elemental Mastery. In addition, each use results in a random Stance being selected along with two random primary abilities. At the same time, the use of Elemental Mastery will provide a short intelligence buff.
A new feature introduced in the patch is a new pre-match team balancer system. This allows up to three player swaps after entering a lobby, in hopes of creating the most balanced teams. The update also introduces quality-of-life improvements such as item shop filtering and a way to filter gods based on playrate in each roll.
On an additional note, the devs announced Combat Blink has been temporarily disabled in Smite 2. Due to recent discussion and feedback, the team wants to test things out with it. The test will last about a week and a survey will be sent out.
