The Undead Are Taking Over In Hearthstone's Newest Expansion, March of The Lich King
Will the Blood Elves be able to hold their ground against these terrible foes?
The Lich King joins the ranks as a new, permanent Hearthstone class. This expansion will be the biggest to hit Hearthstone since its conception. The new Death Knights command the Undead, so if there are any Corpses found on the battlefield they can add further fuel to their powers.
A few new cards will be added with this next expansion, including the Death Knight Hero power: Ghoul Charge. For 2 mana, players can summon a 1/1 Ghoul with Charge. It can attack any enemy, but it dies at the end of the caster’s turn no matter what.
Next, is the Death Knight Mechanic: Corpses. When a friendly minion dies, a Death Knight will gain a “Corpse” resource. These Corpses can then empower other cards.
There will also be a new minion type, Undead. The Undead are a new minion coming with March of the Lich King and are being integrated into existing sets. The Undead have many effects based on death, including the returning keyword mechanic, Reborn. With this new minion edition, more Minions than ever need two Minion types to best describe what they are. The Undead Beast can draw synergies from both its types, while Secondary minion types will also be added to several minions in existing sets.
The March of the Lich King has returned and preorders are available now for purchase.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
