If you’ve been missing the swamp in Hunt: Showdown 1896, Crytek has you covered. Today, the developer announced that the Stillwater Bayou map has returned to the extraction shooter with improvements that not only make it look better, but offer “a more immersive and challenging environment” using Cryengine 5.11.
The updated map features enhancements based on player feedback, addressing things like map readability and adding new paths, doors, and strategic access points. Among the features listed are terrain improvements, enhanced lighting, more detailed water, shader improvements, and more. The devs also improved the design of important areas like Blanchett Graves, Stillwater Bend, and Pitching Crematorium. A full list of changes can be found in the patch notes on the game’s Steam Page.
