The Spriggan Have Returned While New World: Aeternum Prepares For Console Beta
The time for song playing is over, now it's time to take on the moss.
As the New World turns, one event heads out and another steps up to take its place. Obviously, the larger New World news this week is the console beta for New World: Aeternum starting on Thursday. If you'd like to get in on that fun, we're giving away keys for both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Go get yours now. (Those links are for US only. If you play on EU, we still have a giveaway for you, but it is limited to the PlayStation 5.)
If you intend to skip the MMORPG's console beta and just play what's on PC already, the Fury of the Spriggan event is back. After all the fun of Medleyfaire, now things get serious as Spriggan are popping up all over the place. It'll be up to you to hit up the open world encounters with groups of over 20 players starting tomorrow. Take down your foes for event-themed rewards.
Every time you complete one of these battles you'll receive one weapon or piece of gear appropriate to your level and guaranteed to be rare or above, a roll for container resources, a roll for level-appropriate consumables, and 1 Obsidian Gypsum.
Keep in mind, though, some of the other rewards, like the Mossborne weapons and armor and other rewards are limited and you can only get them 3 times per day. Here's the official post for all the rewards and details.
