The Prehistoric Sea Monster Godzilla May Soon Invade Call Of Duty
"Nature always has a way of balancing itself. The only question is…what part will we play?”
Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Season 3’s ‘Classified Arms’ trailer is out, and boy are players in for a surprise. The cinematic starts with the team's trio in search for the Nebula gas released by the Nazis. In their search, they uncover a strange, mysterious device with a bizarre frequency that definitely isn't human. The audio sounds very similar to the famous monster, Godzilla, and his iconic roar.
Call of Duty’s Twitter made a post with the mysterious frequency asking if any soldiers could help decipher the call. One Twitter user, HeckinBrandon, plugged the sound into Audacity where the frequency seems to read, “MONSTERS ARE REAL.” The embedded link connected to Call of Duty's Twitter post also says in its final source code: call-of-duty-godzilla-event.
For some, this idea might seem far-fetched and just down right crazy. However, the invasion of Godzilla does fit in rather perfectly in the scheme of Call of Duty. Well, maybe not perfectly. Some believe that Godzilla was first created as a metaphor, the monster was a representation of nuclear weapons as his existence was created by feeding off the radiation on earth. The addition of Godzilla, if the creature really is to invade Call of Duty, will add something different and could be just what the game needs even if it isn't the most realistic style choice. It seems most fans are excited to learn more and even wonder if King Kong will be joining the fray.
