The Outlast Trials Celebrates 2 Million Players One Month After Launch, Plus New Trailer And In-Game Event
Prepare for Toxic Shock.
It's been a month since the launch of The Outlast Trials, and in that time the game has garnered some 2 million players trying to survive. There have been 38 million deaths and enough blood spilled to submerge NYC's Central Park under a two-meter-deep sea of blood according to developer Red Barrels. Over 600,000 participants have fought their way to freedom and became Reborn.
So what's next for The Outlast Trials? Well, starting next week you can participate in a limited-time event called "Toxic Shock", during which there will be a new Variator called, you guessed it, Toxic Shock. The trial's environment sporadically fills with toxic gas, inflicting permanent damage. There will be a secondary objective to collect rats. Locate evidence documents scattered throughout the trial to uncover the secrets of Toxic Shock. This limited-time event will run from April 16th to May 7th.
