The New Single-Player Version Of Wayfinder Is Live Today With The Echoes Update
RIP MMO Wayfinder.
Wayfinder is no longer an MMO. Well, I'm not sure it ever really was, but at some point they called themselves one, so we'll go with it. As of today, the Echoes update is live in Wayfinder Early Access, making it a single-player only or peer-to-peer co-op game.
There are a whole lot of changes with this update, but we'll hit the important stuff you need to know.
All Founder's Items excluding currencies are now available in the game and will be granted to you upon completing your first entry into the gloom.
All monetization has been removed from the game and all Runesilver you've either purchased or received from Founder's Packs over the lifetime of the game are being converted into the new Founder's Coins. The Founder's Coins can be spent on exclusive rewards in Wayfinder like styles, mounts, and pets from a vendor in Skylight. There are no other ways to get these items.
Reward Tower 1&2 are available in-game for all players. Completing quests and objectives grants keys that can be used to unlock rewards.
All cosmetic items and power items are now in-game drops with stats attached.
Weapons no longer level up, but drop at different level ranges. Weapon XP Resonance Caches have been removed.
There are new Hunts, Lost Zones, and Quests added throughout the story line.
You can read the full update notes over on Steam.
