It Actually IS Coming! Resident Evil Re:Verse Arrives On October 28
The title has risen from the grave, or perhaps it was never dead to begin with.
It lives! As a thank you to fans and in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil Re:Verse will be available for free to those who purchased Resident Evil Village starting on October 28, the same date that Resident Evil Village Gold Edition comes out.
In Resident Evil Re:Verse, players will test their skills against others in a 4 to 6 person survival horror revenge match. Players will be able to play as their beloved characters from the Resident Evil series in 5-minute Deathmatches where the player with the most points wins. In this multiplayer title, when players are taken out, their body will transform into a powerful bioweapon which can then be used against other players. Even in this deformed state, players will still be able to rack up some points.
Resident Evil Re:Verse is an online-only multiplayer title. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 version will require a PlayStation Plus membership, and the Xbox One and Xbox Series X versions will require an Xbox Live Gold membership in order to play. Players who have already purchased the physical copies of Resident Evil Village will need to make sure to not lose the product code before Resident Evil Re:Verse begins service on October 28. If players are worried about losing their code, they can redeem it now prior to launch on the account that they wish to use.
